About Emma Greenfield
Hello, plant enthusiasts! I'm Emma Greenfield, a passionate botanist and plant lover based in Seattle, Washington. My journey into the world of plants began when I was just a child, tending to my grandmother's vibrant garden. That early fascination blossomed into a lifelong passion and eventually led me to pursue a degree in Botany from the University of Washington.
By day, I work as a horticulturist at the Seattle Botanical Garden, where I have the privilege of caring for a diverse collection of plants from around the world. In my free time, I'm either experimenting with new plant varieties in my home garden, exploring local nurseries, or sharing my knowledge and experiences through this blog.
The Green Thumb Chronicles is my way of connecting with fellow plant lovers and novice gardeners alike. Here, you'll find everything from care guides for popular houseplants to deep dives into rare species, as well as tips on sustainable gardening practices and the therapeutic benefits of surrounding yourself with greenery.
Join me on this verdant journey as we explore the fascinating world of plants together. Whether you're a seasoned plant parent or just starting your green adventure, there's always something new to discover in the plant kingdom!
